ES Counselor Update

During the month of January/February in classroom guidance lessons in PreK-Grade 5, the counselors will be teaching two lessons about personal safety.  This includes learning about what safe, unsafe, and unwanted touches mean as well as teaching rules about keeping safe in various situations.  Examples may include traffic, fire, and street dog safety; what to do if you get lost; and the importance of asking before going anywhere without a parent, or accepting a gift from someone else. Click here for the full version of the informative parent letter.

International School Assessment (ISA) for Grades 3, 5, 7 and 10

Each parent will be asked to purchase a book/Parent’s Guide ($22) for the course and will receive a certificate of completion once the course is done.  The format of the class includes video, reading and discussion.

I will be running this course on the following dates from 7:45-9:30 am:

Weekly Message from Principal Allen

Welcome back from Chantaburi, Grade 5 students!

The two grade 5 overnight trips that occurred this week were a huge success and students had a fantastic time. The first group attended the trip from Monday-Wednesday, whereas the second group attended Wednesday-Friday and arrived back on campus this afternoon at 2pm.  The students explored the mangroves in the Chantaburi area and learned about the important role they play here in Thailand.  This learning connects to the Grade 5 Environments Unit and how living things have adapted to thrive. A special thank you goes out to the teachers, instructional assistants, nurses and counselors who attended the trip and supported the students 24-7!
