Construction Projects During Winter Break

Since we delayed several construction projects last summer due to COVID-19, we are starting a number of them during the school year while ensuring a minimal impact on learning. These projects include the Early Childhood playground and the indoor Golf Center @ Nichada Plaza, which will both be completed in January.

During the winter break, we will also start a few other new construction projects. The most visible one is the creation of a new vehicle exit and pedestrian tunnel at the East side of the parking lot (to be completed by June 2020). Once completed, the East Exit will allow cars to exit the campus more quickly and help alleviate congestion by the ISB roundabout. During construction, a small part of the parking lot and part of the bicycle parking will be closed off. However, we expect the impact on morning congestion to be minimal.

Included in the East Exit project is the integration of the Early Childhood entrance (completion mid-Feb 2020) and a redesign of the courtyard, or current Early Childhood playground (completion end-Feb 2020).

At the reopening of school in January, Early Childhood parents and students will enter campus via the main ES turnstiles until the new courtyard is completed.
