Hello Parents,

Today, we had some time in the pool…just for fun.  The kids splashed, swam, jumped, and played games.  We loved seeing them smile and have fun at school. It’s been so long, we almost forgot what having fun at school was like.  We shared some photos on our instagram account.  Here are a few more snaps as well:

Reminder about Wednesday:

Dear Parents,

Next week is our annual PE Celebration of Learning, Water Extravaganza Version. This year it will be held on June 8 for grades KG, 2, 4 and June 9 for grades 1, 3, 5.
Students will participate in the Water Extravaganza for a double block, so they will not be going to their other special on this day. Students will be outside participating in a variety of water themed games and activities (Grades 4 and 5 will also use the pools). As students will be active and outside, masks will be optional for these activities, as they are in PE class.

What students need:

●  Swimsuit or other “water clothes” (Since Grades 4 and 5 students have PE first thing in the morning, they should come to school wearing their swimsuits under other clothes)

●  A change of clothes – students must change out of their wet clothes when finished, except students in Grades 2 and 3 if they are going home right after school, and not taking a bus

●  Swim bag and towel (something to put wet swimsuits/clothes and towels in when finished)

●  Shoes – we recommend students wear sandals/crocs to this event

●  Water bottle – students will be active and need to stay hydrated

●  Extra masks, as they will most likely get wet. Cloth masks preferred.

●  Sunscreen – a face stick would be great and easy for students to use

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via email. We look forward to being able to hold this event again, live and in person, after two years of a virtual PE celebration.

Yours in movement,

PE Team
