Hello Students and Families,
It was wonderful meeting you and connecting with you at meet and greet yesterday. Please read the information below carefully. For most 2nd graders, virtual school requires parent involvement. Most kids will become more independent as routines are established, but please know that your child needs your support. Virtual school requires parent time and involvement. Virtual school is not intended to replace in person education and is an emergency measure to continue your child’s education as best as possible until school resumes. We would like to partner with you to help you child learn and grow as much as possible. The information shared below will be helpful in ensuring that your child has a smooth start to virtual school. Please email Mr. Hagen with questions, comments or concerns. edh@isb.ac.th
Schedule
Our class schedule is a google document that will be added to each week. Mr. Hagen will share the schedule on Sundays. The newest week will be on top. The document contains the links needed for all zoom sessions. The password for all zooms in the ES at ISB is espanthers
Please bookmark this document on your device and if you know how, please add it as a home screen button on your child’s iPad. We will be reviewing the schedule each morning and teaching your child how to use it.
Family Connection Zooms
The first two weeks of virtual school will serve as an introduction to routines and virtual learning norms. We will start more targeted small group academic instruction week 3. This week, Mr. Hagen has scheduled a conference with each family to get acquainted and discuss your child’s strengths and hopes for this year. Please join Mr. Hagen in his zoom room on the day and time specified on the schedule. If you cannot meet during that day and time, please email Mr. Hagen as soon as possible. edh@isb.ac.th
Please contact Mr. Hagen if you would like a translator at your meeting.
We will assess your child academically towards the end of week 2. We will share more information about this soon.
