Reading – Complete the activity on seesaw called:  “Readers think about the feelings poems give them”

Writing –  Listing Sources – Today we’ll learn about how to take notes about the sources that we find when we are researching our animals. We’ll learn to write down or use the Notes app to keep track of the websites, books, and videos where we have found information.  Complete the seesaw activity called: “Writing – List of Sources”

Math – Lesson Focus on Subtraction – Subtracting using the Arrow Way (Adding up in chunks) Students can watch a reminder of how to solve 2digit – 2 digit. 3 digit – 2 digit and 3 digit – 3 digit problems using the Arrow Way before choosing problems to solve themselves. Complete the seesaw activity called: “Subtraction using the arrow way”

Social Studies – What can we do to help?  Students will be introduced to the Asian elephant and Khun Lek at Elephant Nature Park. Through a video of Lek, they will begin to understand action. (I chose a video that does not include any graphic cruelty against the elephants.) Complete the seesaw activity called: “The Asian Elephant..what can we do?”

SEL and Mindfulness – In the Kitchen..How to stay hydrated in the heat. Making homemade energy drinks for the heat! Gatorade is full of chemicals. I told kids that they can do this tomorrow or over the weekend. Nolie added some fun things the kids will like!  This is an optional activity in seesaw called: “In the Kitchen…Homemade Gatorade!”
