Reading – 

  1.  Watch the entire lesson. 
  2. Remember to pause the video and take a screen shot when prompted so you’ll have the resource you need. 
  3. Create a thinking map.  There is a seesaw activity called: Readers pay attention to the intensity of characters’ feelings and can explain with evidence from the text.
  4. Record yourself explaining your thinking using the pen tool.

 

Math – Watch this video and then complete the seesaw activity called: Solving addition and subtraction word problems with number lines and tape diagrams

 

Social Studies – Preparing a Family Emergency Plan: The instruction for this activity are in the seesaw activity called, Family Emergency Plan. 

Optional SEL and Mindfulness Activity – Cooking with Mrs. Giles.  If you’d like to learn how to make a delicious and healthy snack, go to the seesaw activity called In the Kitchen. 

Optional Writing Activity: Adding Senses to your Poetry Writing – Today you have the chance to add more to your poetry notebook.  We are going to think more about writing with our senses. Watch this BrainPopJr. Video about writing with your senses.  We hope using your senses helps you add to your poetry!
