Welcome to Virtual Learning

Hello Team ๒ Students and Families,

Welcome to our week of virtual learning!  We will share our day of learning activities with you each morning via our class website and your child’s seesaw account.  This will ensure that both you and your child can access the daily activities. You are already subscribed to our class website.  If you do not see an email each morning, check your junk mail box. If the email is not there, please contact us so you can be added to the list.

Today, we will be getting set up.  You will need to help your child for a few minutes.  A tablet is the easiest and most simple way to access virtual learning, but learning activities can be accessed through a computer as well.  Our class has been using the seesaw app as our digital learning platform all year, so your child will be very familiar with how to use it.  Please follow the instructions below to download the app and login. This only needs to be done once.  Once your child is logged in, he/she will remain signed into the device you set up.

Each day, there will be some practice in reading, writing, and math.  Some days, there may be another simple activity for your child to complete.  Most of the concepts students will be asked to practice this week will be review.  Students in the EAP and BEAP program will have daily activities assigned only to them.  Your child will submit/share his/her practice through the activities feature inside his/her seesaw account.  Your child is very familiar with how to do this.

We realize that virtual learning is not ideal and there will be challenges and mistakes to come.  Let’s embrace a positive attitude and model adaptability for our children this week. If your child is unable to complete the daily  practice, it’s OK. Daily virtual learning is not meant to cause stress or anxiety for your family; if the daily practice is an inconvenience or you would prefer your child not participate, it’s OK.

As always, please email us with questions or concerns.  Thank you for your support and help as we navigate this new challenge.
