Dear Families,
As we approach the final month of school, we want you to be aware of many important dates. We have a lot of learning yet to do, and many fun things to look forward to!
Tuesday, May 14 we have our final trip to visit our friends at Rainbow House. Thank you for sending in your child’s permission slip for this trip. This is such an important visit for out kids, as they normalize and begin to feel comfortable around children who are different than themselves. We will be at RH for about an hour.
Wednesday, May 15 we will begin our iTime projects. Your child might have brought home a paper requesting some items from home. Ask them if they need anything, so that you can begin preparing over the weekend and get them in by Wednesday. Thanks!
Wednesday, May 15 we will have a going away celebration for our friend Jinou. As you may know, Jinou lives at Rainbow House and he visits our classroom weekly. He begins Thai school next week, and we would like to say goodbye to him. We are having a little breakfast celebration for the kids. If you would like to send in some food for this, please see the sign up page here. This event is for the students only. Thanks!
Friday, June 7 we will be celebrating the end of our unit on Sharing the Planet. Mark your calendar for that day, parents will be invited to our Art Auction, we will share our learning with you and we will have a shared lunch on that day. Your child has already done a lot of learning for this unit, ask them which animal they learned about and what we all can do to protect that animal.
