Intercultural Day
This coming Friday is ISB’s Intercultural Day, formerly known as International Day. This is one of the highlights of each school year. One of the most wonderful privileges we have is simply being around one another. This day will highlight our diverse community and celebrate the many cultures represented here. Please come visit if you can. Intercultural Day is a ‘hands-on’ learning day to celebrate ISB’s rich intercultural diversity. It aligns with our mission point of inspiring students to become caring, global citizens. Many of our ES classrooms are ‘transformed’ by parents into themed rooms so that our students can celebrate different cultures, food, dress, language, music, and geography throughout the day. Students are welcome to wear clothing representative of their culture.
Schedule:
8:00-9:00 Intercultural Day Assembly
9:00-9:15 Snack
9:15-2:20 Rotations, Lunch, Recess, Reflection
Monday-Thursday: Student may wear “intercultural t-shrits” to school. These can be t-shirts that represent their own culture, countries they have lived in, etc.
On Friday, students are encouraged to wear dress representative of a culture of their choice.

This week in Guidance we will be predicting how others might feel in response to scenarios, and offer possible reasons for others’ actions and feelings in response to scenarios. We will also discuss how accidents are a part of life, and if something happens to you by accident, you should think how it could have been an accident and find out more information. If you do something by accident, think about how the other person feels, apologize, and offer to help.
Spirit Week
Next week is ISB’s spirit week. Spirit night will be on Friday, November 25th. Students may wear Sports Team Jerseys on Tuesday, November 22nd and Black and Gold on Friday, November 25th. Go Panthers!
