Hello students and parents! Welcome to 2nd Grade in Room 113. I enjoyed meeting many of you today. For those of you who couldn’t make it, I wanted to give you some helpful information before the first day of school.

You have been subscribed to this BLOG. This is the primary way that we communicate with parents throughout the year. If only one parent is subscribed, please check your junk mail folder and mark the address as not junk mail so you’ll receive these communications.

Students should wear their regular uniform on the first day. This means the red or white shirt, NOT the PE uniform. Students will wear their PE uniforms on the second day of school. There is a link to our daily schedule at the top of this webpage that will show you which days our class attends PE. Use this schedule with the ISB calendar to know what lettered days are throughout the year.

If you or your child’s caregiver is picking him/her up on the first day of school, please meet them in our classroom. (2:20 everyday, 2:05 on Tuesdays) After the first week of school, students will NOT come back to the classroom at the end of the day and you’ll need to make arrangements for where to meet your child at the end of each day.

Coming to school on time on the first day and every day is important and an expectation. Class begins at 7:40. If your child comes to school before then, there is supervision on the playgrounds and this is a wonderful time for your child to be active and social.
