We are excited to communicate our Passion Day plans for PK-3. Using design principles that promote voice and choice, and student driven thinking and inquiry, the day’s learning will center around the question, ‘How do we explore materials?’.
PreK-3 teachers will provide different materials for students to choose to explore. Teachers will act as provocateurs and questioners in the learning process as students respond in a variety of ways to the materials – creating, building, singing, playing, acting, sketching, inventing etc.
We are looking forward to a very different style of learning for our youngest students.
Parents are reminded that December 1 is an Early Release Day and that school finishes at 1pm.
We would ask that you please send your child to school in their PE uniforms on this day. Also, teachers are recommending that students bring an extra t-shirt that will be worn for our messier explorations.
