10 students from 2EH will participate in the Triathlon on Monday.  Please talk to your child about the triathlon ahead of time so that the event is not stressful or confusing.  We want kids to enjoy their experience.  Parents, you should come and help your child set up and prepare for the event.  The preparation will take longer than the actual event.  I recommend that boys wear a tight fitting swim shirt as the race organizer does not allow racers to go shirtless during the bike or run portions of the race.  2nd graders complete two LAPS of swimming, biking, and running.  This means:   2 laps in the pool, 2 laps around the track on a bike, and 2 laps around the grassy area.  Please review the maps below before race day.

Schedule for 2nd graders:

2:55 – 3:15PM – go to the softball field to register and pick-up your participant bag, sign the waiver, get body marked and go through the equipment check.
3:00 – 3:40PM – Go to the transition area and find a white box to place your bike and other equipment you will need for the race. Please spend some time organizing your equipment so that you can transition quickly. PLEASE KEEP YOUR EQUIPMENT IN YOUR DESIGNATED BOX.  Parents should help their child during this time.
