Students in 4EH have selected novels to read in new book clubs this week. They will practice using their thinking and discussion skills with their peers and then write a literary essay about their novel. Students have already, or are almost done, writing a literary essay about a short story they read in class in the last few weeks.
Their second literary essay will be about a longer and more complex text they have selected. Please discuss the novel your child has selected with them regularly in the next week. There is no Typing Ace or Raz Kids homework this week so students can complete reading their novels by Monday. They are using class time for reading and discussion as well. Students are expected to bring their novels home with sticky notes to annotate what they’ve read.
