Tired of watching your kids play electronic games? Want to spend some, “quality time?”
Mrs Power, our ES Librarian, has an exciting opportunity for you to spend quality family baking time together.
The aim is to create an amazing cake (or any edible item) in the theme of a book of your choice, to be judged in a variety of categories, on the following dates:
Friday March 1st: open to all PreK, K and 1st grade students, teachers and specialists
Friday March 8th: open to all 2nd and 3rd grade students, teachers and specialists
Friday March 15th: open to all 4th and 5th grade students, teachers and specialists
Deadlines for registering your participation are the Tuesday before your Friday, e.g., 1st graders need to tell fill out the registration form with Mrs Power in the library, by Tuesday, February 26th.
Forms will be available in the library, and details required are name/class/book/author.
Cakes will be judged by a panel of experts on Friday morning, and available for eating after they’ve all been viewed during lunch recess time, parents are invited to attend.
There will be MANY award winning categories, the aim being for all participants to feel rewarded for their efforts.
