4th Grade had a special presentation today sponsored by Eurest.  Chef Darren from the UK hosted an informative session followed by an intense cooking face-off.  Healthy balanced meals made from fresh ingredients are essential for our bodies: carbohydrates is for energy, protein is for muscles and growing strong, and vitamins are needed to make you healthy.

Student representatives were part of the Red Team (led by Ms Frazier) or the Green Team (led by Ms and including our own Hyerin).  Teams had 15 minutes to prepare a meal and they turned out two delicious dishes.  The Red Team made meat balls with a sweet and sour sauce, paired with stir-fried noodles and vegetables.  The Green Team made terriyaki salmon paired with stir fried vegetables and lemon fragrant rice.  Students were clambering to get a taste of these delectable dishes.  Both were awesome but it was the Green Team that came ahead.

Here are some snaps from today’s event.  Enjoy:

  1. Hi Mr. Hagen
Guess what… I was one of the volunteers! I was on the green team with other students. We Cooked steamed lemon rice, fish cake, and veggies.
It was really fun, but the red team won. Still it was really fun.
    Ethan :D
