Hello 4EH Parents,
This is Shanghai American School’s Centennial Year. Monday, September 17th will be a day of celebration and education. This is an excellent opportunity for experiential education. I would like all students to dress up in clothing that students would wear in 1912. We will spend the day teaching students about school in 1912 and will also allow them to experience what school was like in that year. Please visit the “Our School’s History” page on our class BLOG. The link is in the upper left corner as well as here: https://teachers.saschina.org/ehagen/founders-day-information/
4th Grade will be providing hats and bonnets for students for a small cost. I will be asking student who needs them tomorrow. Below, you will find some examples of how to dress your students using clothing items you may already have. If you would like to have clothing made for you or your child, please contact Cindy Easton, the SAS Centennial Celebration Coordinator. Cindy.Easton@saschina.org. She can put you in touch with local tailors who have been working with our school.
The 4th grade teachers would like this day to be special for your children and to be a lasting memory. Please come enjoy the day if you can. Contact us with questions or concerns. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to celebrating Founder’s Day.
