Jeein Ahn and Seohyun(Irene) Ahn
"Our artwork is about a girl sleeping happily on a Friday night, the girl is tired from her week and thinks about how dark the world is when she didn’t get recognized by other people on how hard she works, and dreams about the dark world and how she will rise from it. Our media is made from paint, paper, stickers, and sharpie’s. We used doing water colour with paint, and writing ‘BTS’ with paintings in our own language. (It is not a train station.) Our inspiration was BTS, BTS has a lot of struggles when they were young, and still is struggling. We thought about how dark the world would be for them when they were young. They made a group and it wasn’t turning out well in the beginning, but when it turned out well, the world was starting to be better for them. Our goal was to let girls know that they can make a difference on what the world will look like to them. I think we expressed the piece quite well, and the colour of the world, and the mysterious background that blends in is a little freedom that is within them. We learned that this world isn’t the same to other people in they’re perspectives. The final piece is what we imagined, but you may have to look more closely to see what the meaning is. It may influence future artworks to think in other people’s perspectives, instead of what's already there. Like we know that there is a lot of trash, bad and good things, but thinking about other people's perspectives may help other people think about what the world is like to them. "
