News from School Counselors

We have been enjoying meeting with our new students this week and will continue to do so next week, followed by checking in with our Grade 9 students. So far the new high school students are saying that they are enjoying their classes and meeting new friends.

Next Tuesday, August 22, is the last day for students to make changes to their schedule. Please check in with your child and ask them if they are happy with their schedule as it is. If not, please remind them to stop by their counselor’s office (Ms. Leoni, Mr. Sambula or Ms. Valenzuela).

We are looking forward to launching a new HS parent book club this year. All high school parents are invited to join us for a discussion about Thrivers: The Surprising Reasons Why Some Kids Struggle and Others Shine by Michele Borba, Ed. D. The book club will meet in the MPB3 at 8am on Thursday, October 12, Thursday, October 19, Thursday, November 9 and Thursday, November 16. Mark your calendar and please join us.

Please reach out to us anytime if you want to discuss your student’s academic life and/or social/emotional wellbeing. We are happy to meet and can be reached at: Shannon Leoni (shannonl@isb.ac.th), Frank Sambula Jr. (franks@isb.ac.th) and Jackie Valenzuela (jackiev@isb.ac.th).
