PreK – Grade 1 Meet Your Teacher Appointments
On Friday, August 4 all PreK1, PreK2, Kindergarten and Grade 1 families received an email invitation to meet with your child’s classroom teacher starting on Wednesday, August 9. Please sign up for the time that is most convenient for you.

ES Parent Engage Sessions on Friday, August 11, 2023
Please join us for the first ES Parent Engage of 2023-24! ES Parent Engages occur once a month on Fridays starting at 7:45AM. Our first Parent Engage starts at 7:45am in MPB1 (located on the second floor above the MS/HS Cafeteria) and includes three exciting topics…please feel free to join us for the sessions that apply to you!

- 9:30am – Courageous Beginnings for PreK and KG parents

Join us on Thursday, August 17 @ 7:45am in the MPB3 located above the MS/HS Cafeteria to meet the ES Counseling Team and learn more about the comprehensive counseling program at ISB.
ISB School Uniforms: First Days of School
ISB is pleased to announce new school uniforms this year. More information can be found in this presentation. In addition to the daily school uniform, students in KG-Grade 5 wear a dedicated PE uniform on their scheduled PE days. Running shoes or athletic footwear must be work for PE (Crocs and sandals are not permitted). There is not an additional PE uniform for PreK students; parents of PreK students who have purchased a PE uniform are welcome to return it for a and refund.
What to wear on the first days of school:

ES Open House – August 24 @ 6:00pm
The most important night of the school year is coming soon! Open House 2023 is on Thursday, August 24th and is essential in our launch of our home-school partnership for the year. This is a wonderful night to meet your child’s teachers, understand classroom procedures and expectations, and learn more about the learning your child will experience at ISB this year. If possible, it will be important for both parents to attend Open House, especially if you have more than one child in the Elementary School. Families with children in multiple grade levels might need to divide and attend different classes at the same time. Please keep in mind that this evening is for parents only and there will be no child care provided. Watch for a detailed agenda for the evening in next week’s eNews.
Subscribing to ISB Calendars
Did you know that you can subscribe to the ISB calendars so that they stay up to date in real time on ISB events? If you have a Google account, please make sure you are logged in to your personal Google account, go to our ISB Calendars and you can simply click on the “+Calendars” below and then click the calendars that you want to subscribe to (Day Calendar, Community Calendar, etc). These will then be displayed in your Google Calendars app on your phone or other device. You can easily toggle
Reminder to attach your child(ren) ID with the bags
Please attach your child’s ISB ID card to their bags in order to get into the school everyday.
Many people move houses over the summer, details change (phone numbers etc). We are in the process of updating phone numbers, addresses and emergency contacts. Please take the time to login to Powerschool Parent Portal and check the details that ISB has on record. Please update if necessary. It is really important this information is accurate, as we use this in emergency situations.

Step 1. Login to Powerschool

Step 2. At the bottom of the left hand menu click “Contact Update”. This information will then take a day or two to update (we manually check for accuracy).
