Dedication of the Middle School/High School Library in honor of Dr. Andrew Davies

Dr. Andrew Davies  joined ISB in 1993 as a High School English teacher, embarking on an exceptional thirty-year career path. Throughout his journey, he progressed from an English teacher to Department Head, High School Vice Principal, High School Principal, Deputy Head of School, and ultimately served as Head of School at ISB for eleven years. With his unwavering focus on learning and outstanding leadership, Dr. Davies positively impacted the lives of countless students at ISB. Under his guidance, ISB has flourished and become one of the leading international schools in Asia, renowned worldwide for its excellence.

During his tenure, Dr. Davies achieved numerous noteworthy accomplishments. He developed an outdoor educational program and spearheaded the implementation of the Environmental Wilderness Campus in Nong Ya Plong. Additionally, he established a Life-Centered Education program for students with intensive needs and expanded the early childhood program for 3 and 4-year-olds. Dr. Davies’ stewardship enabled ISB to successfully navigate extraordinary challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, while also strengthening ISB’s financial position in a very competitive international school market. Most importantly, Dr. Davies always led with empathy and genuine care for the school and the ISB community.

In recognition of his years of devoted service and his exceptional legacy at ISB, the Board of Trustees of the International School Association hereby proudly dedicates the Middle School/High School Library in honor of Dr. Andrew Davies which from now on  shall bear the name “Dr. Andrew Davies Library” . This dedication is a token of gratitude for Dr. Davies’ steadfast commitment to the ISB community and his significant contributions to the school.
