As you may have seen in other communication, this week will NOT have an Early Dismissal day. Wednesday, May 17th will be a normal school day and the Early Release will take place in the following week.

Here’s the schedule for the coming week:

Calendar Change: Early Release Day Moved

Important Notice

In the coming week, Wednesday, May 17th will no longer be an Early Release Day. It will be a normal school day with dismissal at 2:45 pm.

Early Release Day will now be the following week, on Wednesday, May 24th.

We apologize for any inconvenience or change in plans that this may cause.

 

A NOTE FROM THE MAIN LIBRARY

BOOKS DUE – SUMMER CHECK-OUT – SEARCHING THE LIBRARY CATALOG

As we head into May, it is time to start thinking about our summer reading. We have been busy in the library ordering titles in readiness for summer checkout.

Library books are due Wednesday, May 31st. Friday, June 2nd marks the start of summer check-out. All ISB patrons (students, parents and staff) are welcome to check out up to 10 books. Please note the library will be open during the summer for check out from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

SEARCHING THE LIBRARY CATALOG (DESTINY)

The library site is accessible from the ISB home page or go directly to library.isb.ac.th and click on the tab titled ‘Library Catalog’. (See screenshot at right).

Once you are in the catalog search by title, author or subject (See screenshot below).

Make note of the following:

  • Available for checkout – IN or OUT
  • Click on the Title (eg. Dune) to read the book summary
  • Format options: Print, Audiobook, or eBook.
  • Genre designating sub-location in the library eg. Science Fiction

Please feel free to ask for help locating a book in the library when browsing.

MS Athletics Update

Season 4 

Away Games- Season 4 is underway and our touch, rugby and badminton teams will be in action starting next week. Some athletes will be traveling in the afternoons this week with games.

 

HOME GAMES- come and support our Panthers in their home games. Most games begin at 4pm

Parent Connection Presentation on Parenting the MS Years 

This past Tuesday, MS Counselors hosted a Parent Connection session on Zoom on the topic: “Supporting Teens in Tricky Times – What parents should know and what we can do”

The session encouraged parent discussion, so for privacy reasons we don’t record sessions like that. Here are the slides from that presentation.

MS Band, and Choir & Strings Concerts 6:30 pm May 30th & June 1st 

Join us on May 30th for the Middle School Band Concert and again on June 1st for the Middle School String and Choir Concert both at 6:30pm in the Chevron Theater. We will be showcasing pieces from a wide range of genres, languages and cultures and are excited to share what we’ve been working on this semester. See you there!

 

HPV(Human Papilloma Virus) vaccine Informational for Parents 

We will be hosting an open informational about the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccine this upcoming May 22, 2023 from 07:00-07:30 AM (Session 1) and again from 07:30-08:30 AM (Session 2) in MPB1 (Second Floor) for parents interested in learning about the vaccine.   Submit your questions ahead of time, here.  This link will be active until May 19, 2023.  An Obstetrician from Viphawadee Hospital will be speaking at informational.

The Harvard Krokodiloes with ISB Tenors & Basses 

Join us on Wednesday May 31st on the outdoor stage at 10:30 (Middle School Lunch) for a performance by The Harvard Krokodiloes with a special appearance by our own tenors and basses.
