Navigating the Social and Emotional Dynamics of Family Life

Evidence-led SEL Approaches to support children and the whole-family to build resilience,   communication skills, and compassionate problem-solving.

Join Nick Haisman-Smith and Joe Tchen from The Institute for Social and Emotional Learning for an innovative and informative workshop for the ISB parent community.

The workshop will offer a practical framework for understanding the social and emotional development of children and review some compelling research that highlights the importance of SEL to support student development, academic success, sense of belonging, health, and wellbeing.

We will focus on high-impact and creative ways to bring these SEL tools home and explore how a certain kind of listening can help children strengthen emotional intelligence and develop and hone independent and cooperative problem-solving skills.
