by Kerry Dyke, MS Service Coordinator
This week our MS students were involved in SERVICE WEEK.
Our many clubs presented their “TV style” commercials in advisory to inform us of what they were all about and how we could help. Then, throughout the week, the clubs were set up in the cafeteria. Some were advocating for protecting sharks, others using their social enterprise to help elephants and people in conflict zones, another group was teaching people how to reduce plastic waste by refilling an old bottle with soap, shampoo, etc instead of always buying new.
As well, we have been asking all advisory groups to donate items to iCare. We were looking for certain types of food (UHT milk, rice, sardines, noodles, and eggs), as well as school supplies, blankets, clothes, toys.
Service Week will continue into next week, so if families find items that they can donate, please consider bringing them to school next week.
