Road Safety Around and on Campus

Now that school has been in session for almost two months, we are starting to see some challenges with traffic in the parking lot and outside the ISB gates. As a reminder, security guards are there to help keep everyone safe. Please remind all students, family helpers, and parents to listen to their instructions.

  • When approaching a crosswalk, please slow down, whether on a bike or in a car and watch for people around you.
  • Only cross the crosswalks when the guards indicate it is safe to do so.
  • If riding a bike, watch for pedestrians crossing the bike lane from the sidewalk and the cars entering driveways.
  • When dropping off students, please have them ready to exit the vehicle as soon as you come to a stop. We ask that you limit your stopping time in front of the school to 10 seconds.

We all need to be aware of our surroundings and do our part to help the entire community stay safe.
