We are interested in hearing from parents about topics that you are interested in AND what format works best for you. If you are interested in parent sessions about the MS program, please complete this short form.
MS Assessment Free Days
This Friday has been a day off for students as teachers worked on professional development here on campus. We value the time that students have with families on these long weekends and hope that it’s been restful for students and parents.
As calendared, this Monday and Tuesday are “Assessment Free Days” which means that students won’t have tests or major assignments due. This allows them to enjoy their weekend with family without any academic requirements looming over them.
Please note it is possible that work that is late or overdue, may still be required for Monday or Tuesday and this would be a good time for the student to use to catch up.
Student Clubs and Activities
Middle School is excited to get clubs and activities up and running for the coming year. Thank you to Ms. Meisner for leading this process and to our faculty for sponsoring the many student interest clubs. So many choices for ways to meet others with similar interests!
We will be sharing the opportunities with students on Monday, Sept. 26th and hosting a club fair for students to see all the offerings on Tuesday, Sept. 27th. As always, students should also be on the lookout in our Good Morning Middle School for upcoming meetings and events.
Student Yearbook Photos Next Week
In the coming week (19-23 September), KidsFoto will be on campus to take this year’s school photos for MS students. These photos will be used for the yearbook and an opportunity to order prints will be provided to families in a few weeks.
Students will be brought to have their photo taken by rotation according to their English class period.
Students will remove masks for their photos as they will be sufficiently distanced and separated from other students when inside for the photos.
For the yearbook photos, MS students must wear the green ISB uniform shirt. If students do not have a green shirt, then we will have ones available to wear for the photo.
As always, if students miss photo day or parents don’t like the photo, we do retakes in January (which is also for new students in semester 2).
BANGKOK INTERNATIONAL STRINGS FESTIVAL
Please join us at 2:00pm Saturday, September 24th in the CC Theater for the 2022 Bangkok International Strings Festival Gala Concert. Campus access requirements apply including a current ISB card, ID exchange for visitors, and a COVID declaration.
A live streaming link will be provided in next week’s eNews for those unable to attend the concert in person.
