‘The last one’

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the last Enews message of the year as we break for the summer. We are all looking forward to spending some time with family and friends to recharge and re-energise over the next month or so. We closed school today with a full HS assembly in the Rajendra which was the first time that we were able to gather in one place as a High School community for more than 2 years.

We shared farewells with departing teachers and students, our choir, pep band, student rock band and teacher folk band all entertained the crowd and had the audience waving lights on their phones and clapping in tune. At the conclusion of the assembly the HS faculty and students joined the cast of HS musical to dance on the gym floor which was such a great way to finish the school year.

I am proud of the resilience, determination and spirit that our ISB students displayed throughout the course of this school year and they were so well supported by our amazing committed teaching faculty. Thank you teachers and congratulations students!

When we return we are looking forward to a fresh start in August with assemblies in person, athletic, activities and arts events taking place and a full year of in person learning in front of us.

Safe travels
Justin Alexander
High School Principal

Semester Report Cards

Justyna McMillan
justynam@isb.ac.th

Student Report Cards have been posted on PowerSchool. These include Semester Grades and HAL progress, but no comments. As ISB continues to be ‘greener’ and timely we issue report cards through the PowerSchool Quick Lookup page. On the Quicklook Up page use the link at the top right to access a PDF report card for your son/daughter. The report can be saved and filed electronically and / or printed.

Please note that parents will be unable to access report cards through Powerschool if a report card hold has been placed on a student account.  If a report card hold has occurred, parents will be notified via an automated email from Powerschool.

For students taking courses with Pamoja or GOA, grades will be communicated directly from the course providers to the students.

If you have any questions, please contact the Dean of Academics, Justyna McMillan.

Predicted Grades for Gr11 IB students

Justyna McMillan
justynam@isb.ac.th

The first round of IB Predicted Grades have been uploaded onto PowerSchool as a Report on Quick Lookup page.  IB Predicted Grades are an estimate of student performance in their IB subjects and may change as teachers gather more evidence. At this stage your child may have received a slash grade which is in between two levels .  The next update for IB Predicted Grades is October.

News from  University Counselors

Debbie McDowell
debbiem@isb.ac.th

The university counselors are sending our best wishes to all students and families for a relaxing and rejuvenating summer holiday. The counselors will be on holiday as well so please understand that they will not be responding to emails and requests during the break.

We hope that all of the rising seniors will be able to thoughtfully prepare their list for university applications that will include institutions which offer both balance and diversity as well as reflect  aspiration and reality. As soon as we return in August we will work with students to finalize the list of universities to which the students will apply, have the Grade 12 Family University Night (30 August), and begin hosting the Family Senior Conferences with individual students, parents and the university counselor.

Thank you for all of the support that has been demonstrated throughout the school year.

Kindly,
Debbie
Ms. Debbie McDowell (she, her, hers)

Dear Summer Camp Parents,

Thank you for signing your kids up for Panther Activities & Sports Summer Camps June 20th through July 8th. We can’t wait to work with your children! Please find important general information about all of our programs below. Look for detailed information about each specific camp from our activities coordinators before Monday.

COVID PROTOCOLS & CAMPUS ACCESS

We will use the same Covid-19 Protocols we have been following this school year with some modifications.
Parents will receive a reminder SMS for ATK testing and results submission every Sunday and Wednesday between 4-8:00pm which is required for students and staff to enter campus.
Parents will need to purchase their own supply of ATK tests as ISB will not be providing them for students involved in summer camps.
Students will need their ISB Student ID card to access campus, a negative result on their ATK, and a mask.
Please note that campus access for parents during summer programs is by appointment only.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF

All campers (including students attending summer school) will be required to meet their coaches in front of the school by the Panther statue before entering campus through the turnstiles nearest the Business Office. The turnstiles at the ES entrance will not be used during summer camps.

Students enrolled in summer school will be required to leave campus at 1:00pm through the Business Office turnstiles before returning to campus with their coach for afternoon camps.

Campers will be returned to the front of school by the Panther at the end of each activity.
There is no provision for child care between summer school hours and the start of afternoon camps, or between camps.

Still have questions about camps? Contact Anthony or Fon at PantherActivities@isb.ac.th, or reach out to the camp directors at PantherBasketball@isb.ac.th, PantherGymnastics@isb.ac.th, PantherMusic@isb.ac.th, PantherSoccer@isb.ac.th, PantherTennis@isb.ac.th, or PantherVolleyball@isb.ac.th.
