Dear ISB Community,
Update of COVID-19 Cases
We are aware of 23 students (6 ES, 16 MS, 1 HS) and 12 staff members who have reported testing positive on ATK or PCR tests since Sunday 29th May.
During the Grade 8 trip to Saraburi, from Wednesday to Friday last week, 4 students tested positive. Following the trip, 16 students and 5 accompanying staff members tested positive over the following 5-6 days. All students and staff tested negative prior to the trip.
Contact tracing has been completed and the school has followed up with the parents of students considered high risk close contacts.
If you are a high risk close contact
Students considered high risk close contacts should exercise precautions such as wearing masks, maintaining appropriate distance, and avoiding sleepovers or other social gatherings where mask use is minimized.
Key components to the Ministry of Education’s policy in allowing those considered high risk to return to campus are continued isolation from the positive individual, monitoring symptoms closely, and performing an ATK if symptoms do arise.
Parents are reminded to keep symptomatic students at home even if testing negative, as we know symptoms precede positive results by a few days in many instances.
Our most up to date Covid-19 Matrix can be found here which corresponds to our current practice.
If anyone has questions, please reach out to any of us listed below.
All the best,
Andy
