Dear ISB Parent Community,
The PTA Executive Board recently voted to ask the ISB administration to invoke Article 2 of the PTA Bylaws and take responsibility for the nominations and elections processes in order to establish the PTA Executive Board for next school year. To facilitate this, the ISB Administration has temporarily suspended all other Articles of the bylaws.
The process going forward is as follows:
- On 17th August 2022, an email will reach ISB parents asking for volunteers for PTA Executive Board positions (through a google form link).
- In the event that there is more than one candidate for a position, we will first ask if the candidates are willing to share the position (or consider another open position).
- If candidates are not open to sharing positions, then elections for these positions will take place.
- Elections will be by paper ballot and will take place from 7:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday 30th August 2022.
- The PTA Executive Board will be in place by 31st August 2022 and the ISB community will be notified by enews.
Please note that the first PTA General Board Meeting will take place on 18th October, 2022.
Next school year, ISB will also conduct a By-Laws review process, particularly those related to nominations and elections.
Our Admissions Department will shortly reach out for parent volunteers for the first day of school welcome coffee for new parents.
The purpose of the PTA is to advance, through parent engagement, the Mission, Vision, Attributes, and Values of the school. The main objective is to encourage parental involvement and community building through events and activities that help bring the ISB community together.
