Head of School Search Update

Dear ISB Community,

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of those who took part in the interview and feedback processes with the four Head of School candidates last week. The selection of the next Head of School for ISB is important to us all and we appreciate the time community members spent evaluating each candidate and providing feedback.

The four candidates visited ISB for an in depth interview process with the ISB community that included teachers, students, parents, school leadership and support staff. The Board of Trustees also interviewed each candidate three times and hosted two social events.

The Board of Trustees received and considered feedback from all stakeholder groups and deliberated at length on Saturday, with another meeting taking place on Tuesday evening.

The quality of the Head of School candidates is strong and we learned a great deal from our conversations with Charles Abelmann, Sascha Heckmann, Jane McGee and Michelle Quirin. It was a pleasure to meet all of the candidates and we are very appreciative that they visited our campus and engaged so thoughtfully with our community.

We are particularly grateful to Joy Davy (our Board Secretary) and to Khun Pyee (Secretary to the Head of School), for the expert organization of a complex interview schedule.

The Board of Trustees anticipates making an announcement next week.

Sincerely,

Ira Blumenthal
Chair, Head of School Search Committee, ISB Board of Trustees
