Hello ISB Friends and Family,

The Class of 2023 IB Diploma students are proud to present their TOK Exhibition!

Theory of Knowledge is an epistemology and critical thinking class–similar to Philosophy 101 in Universities.  In this first official summative, students must choose three objects from their lives and use them to show how knowledge connects to them as knowers in various ways.

The in-person TOK Exhibition is supposed to be a live, community event involving our entire school.  Due to Covid restrictions, we had a smaller, more intimate, in-person event.  Using FlipGrid and our website, we were able to create a hybrid environment that allowed students to share, question and reflect on the process.  Now we would like to share our final products with the ISB community!

On our website (HERE)  you can find a synopsis of every student’s TOK Exhibition, links to their submissions as well as some featured student reflections.  Our stand-out TOK students’ work is also displayed in the Upper Grind from now until the end of school.  We hope you enjoy it and we can’t wait to try a full, in-person TOK Exhibition next year!

Thanks to our amazing TOK teachers for making this challenging year a massive success!!

Ian Galbraith, Patience Soule, Conor Duffy, Danny Wall, Oliver Picton and Rich Werner deserve a true philosopher’s round of applause!

Enjoy!
