ISB Update: 19 May 2022

Dear ISB Community,

Update of COVID-19 Cases

We are aware of 13 students (5 ES, 5 MS, 3 HS) and 2 staff members who have reported testing positive on ATK or PCR tests since Sunday 15th May. Contact tracing has been completed and the school has followed up with the parents of students considered high risk close contacts.

Updated MOE Regulations

Since May 13, following new regulations issued by the Ministry of Education, we have implemented updated quarantine policies for those considered high risk.  Staff and students classified as such may forego quarantine if asymptomatic, have a negative ATK on Day 1, and if one of the following criteria is met:

  • Recovered from Covid-19 within the past 90 days
  • Fully vaccinated with appropriate booster per Ministry of Public Health or CDC recommendations

Those who do not meet this criteria will continue to complete a 5-day quarantine.

Additionally, the gathering size for events has increased to 1,000 attendees in Nonthaburi which will allow for graduation, moving on, and other ceremonies/events to take place on campus this school year.

With respect to next school year, we are anticipating an updated government announcement in June or July. ISB will then update its COVID management plans accordingly and communicate with the ISB community.

If anyone has questions, please reach out to any of us listed below.

All the best,
