Hi Everyone,
Another great week on campus albeit with a nice break in the middle for everyone. The next few weeks will see our Gr 9 – Gr 11 students begin their preparations for an exam period that will start on Monday May 23rd. With the disruptions caused by the pandemic, particularly during the months April through June over the past two school years, our Grade 9-11 students have not experienced formal exams which is why we are taking the opportunity to have our students to have some practice in revising and preparing for larger summatives in the weeks ahead.
Once our students finish with their exams they will have DELVE to look forward to. This will be a great opportunity for all of our students to re-engage in service and to enrich our local communities through interaction and support. Our students will also enjoy some time away from the classroom and the exam room as well! Mr. Assimakopoulos and Khun Pat along with our teacher supervisors have been working tirelessly to make sure that everything is in order for our first major HS student trip in nearly three years! Stay tuned for more details about the exams and Delve in the coming weeks.
We are continuing to monitor our absences due to Covid and can report that HS cases have continued to stay low over the past few weeks. You can see the numbers for the past few weeks on this chart. Please do be sure to contact the Health team and me asap if your child does test positive so we can check on close contacts and let teachers know about absences.
