Over the past 3 days, our Grade 6 & 7 students have been engaged in wonderful experiential learning through our grade level trips. The Grade 6 students went to iCamp in Kanchanaburi. The Grade 7 students dispersed among 5 different locations around Thailand, focused on environmental issues and human impact.
For those grade 6 and 7 students who were not able to travel with a group, we had a special leadership development program run by the JUMP! Foundation over the 3 days.
The students and chaperones return with experiences and stories that will serve as memories for years to come. I will leave them to share those stories along with what they learned with you. For now, we will share with you just a sample of photos from these incredible experiences that bring us closer to our goals as a middle school, our “normal” experience for students, and our Vision as a school to enrich communities.
Of course, first and foremost, our community has such tremendous gratitude for the staff chaperones who took on the duty of care of your children through these 3 days. This is a massive responsibility. I thank our chaperones who balance professionalism and care as they maintain boundaries while ensuring students are having fun too.
Enjoy just a small sample of these terrific experiences. It’s pretty special that for the past 3 days, this was “school” for these students.
