Thank you and congratulations go out to all of our ES students who have graciously shared their pieces of art with the entire community via the Over “knot” Under Exhibit currently on display throughout the elementary school! Students have been thinking beyond the more traditional media in the world of art via their exploration into Textile Art! For the last month, students from kindergarten through to grade 5 have been immersed in the textile studio environment of their art classrooms, exploring materials as well as their own creativity through these materials. Pattern has been a dominant theme throughout this unit of study and is the foundation of the design of their textile art creations. Kudos go out to our ES Art Team for all the teaching, support and guidance they provided to students throughout this creative process!
