Dear ISB Community,
We are aware of 22 students (10 ES, 6 MS, 6 HS) and 5 staff members that have reported testing positive on ATK or PCR tests since Sunday 20th February. Contact tracing has been completed and parents of students considered close contacts have been notified and are undergoing further safety precautions.
Updates to ISB COVID Risk Matrix
Following recent direct consultation with officials at the Ministry of Public Health, the ISB Covid Response Team has updated our Risk Matrix to better reflect safe practices that also keep students in school as much as possible. The updated risk matrix can be accessed here.
The major change relates to the number of days that a high risk close contact must be absent from school. The required isolation time for high risk close contacts will be reduced from 10 days to 7 days.
High risk close contacts will be provided with a campus return date by the ISB Health Center. In order to be able to return to campus, any students or adult designated a high risk close contact must:
- Complete the 7 day self isolation period as indicated by the ISB Health Center
- Receive clearance from the ISB Health Center to return to campus
- Be completely symptom free for 48 hours prior to arrival (without fever-reducing medications, etc.)
- Perform a home-based ATK on the morning of Day 7 prior to arrival on campus
- Complete the Self-Declaration JotForm
As our community is aware, cases are trending up in Thailand and it is critical that we are all following strict COVID preventive measures as encouraged by the Ministry of Public Health.
Now that we are moving into the new phase of “living with COVID”, we are very grateful for the support of our community members as we work to maintain the safest learning environment possible for our students and keep our campus open during this current increase in cases within our ISB community.
