Dear HS Parents and Students
WelcoAme back everyone to the start of the second semester. Although we would have liked to start in person on Monday, for reasons shared in Dr. Davies email we will need to start the second semester online in Virtual School.
We have had quite a bit of practice of virtual school during the past few years, so we believe that students and teachers will be able to easily transition back to this mode of learning for the coming week. We of course hope that this will be temporary and that we will be able to return to face-to-face learning on Monday, January 17th. In the meantime, please see below the instructions for next week.
Schedule and Rotation
We will follow the virtual school schedule listed below and will rotate through Day 1 and Day 2 for this week. Grade 11 HL classes will meet at 8-8.45am following the 8-day rotation. If you are a Grade 12 HL student then wait for instructions from your teachers about attending the HL classes.

11.45-12.30 Lunch

What’s on and what’s not on
Clubs: Clubs will not meet virtually this week, however, if there is an urgent need for an individual club to meet this week, please contact Peter Assimakopoulos directly.
Athletics: There will not be scheduled virtual training during this week. Coaches will reach out to athletes with details about training at home etc.
Activities: There are no scheduled after school activities this week and the IASAS CC retreat at EWC scheduled for Friday, January 14th will be postponed (Mr Giles to share more details with participants early next week)
Assembly: This will still take place this week on Wednesday. Mr. A will send out details and links to students early in the week.

New Student Parent Orientation
If you are a new HS Parent or student – WELCOME to ISB. We are changing our new parent orientation schedule to be online and virtual on Monday morning starting at 7.50 am. We will send you an updated schedule and the zoom links to join that meeting on Sunday.
Welcome back to the second semester and here is looking forward to getting back to face-to-face learning in a week’s time.
