ISB Update: 4 November, 2021

Campus Reopening Update

We have received permission from the Nonthaburi Government to welcome 100% of students on campus each day, beginning Monday 8th November.

In preparation for the increased number of students on campus, we have reviewed our COVID safety plans and made a number of enhancements and adjustments to ensure the safety of our students when at full capacity.
We have updated the ‘Return to Campus Made Easy’ booklet – please click here to view ‘Return to 100% Students on Campus Made Easy’

Student Vaccination Survey

Last Sunday, we asked an additional question on the ATK Form regarding student vaccination status for students in grades 7-12. The results are as follows:

  • 86% of students in grades 7-12 are fully vaccinated
  • 8% of students in grades 7-12 are partially vaccinated
  • 6% of students in grades 7-12 are not vaccinated

Given the high vaccination rates among students in grades 7-12, we will be opening up more opportunities for controlled activity and athletics participation in this age range.

Distribution of ATKs

Additional ATK supplies were distributed to students on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th November. In the event that a student was not at school to receive the ATKs, please email nurse@isb.ac.th to arrange pick up.

ATK Testing – Important

A reminder that ATK testing now takes place on Sundays and Wednesdays between 4:00pm and 8:00pm – with results uploaded on the ATK Form within that same timeframe.  If you need assistance with the ATK Form, please write to help@isb.ac.th

Parent Partnership

We want to express our appreciation to our parents for their support of ISB throughout this return to campus.  The ATK testing and other procedures have gone very smoothly. As a reminder to parents, please be sure to help younger students with their testing to achieve as accurate results as possible.  Additionally, if a student has a fever, cough, or other cold-like symptoms please keep these students at home until well (48 hours symptom free without use of symptom reducing medications).

We have been happy to see students remembering to bring IDs and masks, and families are staying in touch should someone in their household come into close contact or test positive for COVID.  We have also seen a very high number of our students vaccinated when they become eligible.

Next week is an important step for our school and it also means that there are additional considerations to be made by our community.

We remind parents to model our safety measures for students by maintaining a 1.5m to 2m physical distance while dropping off and waiting for pick up (stand on the honeycomb stickers to see what 1.5m distance looks like). It is human nature to gather close together to chat, but we must not relax our adherence to the distancing requirement.

We also ask parents to continue monitoring their family “bubbles” and close contacts to limit exposure to possible infections.
