For those who are awaiting further information from our Health Forum with Dr. Orapan -Bumrungrad Hospital, she has provided the following information:
“Since the most recent outbreak starting in the early summer, the number of pediatric Covid-19 cases although high, have been relatively mild. Seventy-percent of children’s cases in Thailand were mild. For males in the ages of 12 to under 16, the committee is still planning for a single dose (Pfizer BioNTech) until further information is available. Although the incidence of myocarditis is low, the committee is recommending a 1 week rest period of physical activity (P.E., athletics, etc.) after vaccine doses.”
