Dear ISB Community,
We couldn’t be happier to have students back with us on campus and it has been uplifting for us all at ISB to see the smiling faces of children again. As educators, we thrive on being with students and colleagues in a school setting.
We know that for different reasons we also have around 20% of students completing virtual learning at home. Please note that there will be an adjustment period as students who are remaining at home get used to a different way of learning virtually. It will look different than full-on virtual school and will combine asynchronous activities, connections and check-ins with teachers, and other technology learning tools. If we can help in any way, please reach out to the appropriate teachers or principal.
Going forward, our hope is that the situation continues to improve in Thailand, that more of the population (including students) are vaccinated, that cases continue to decline, that a number of restrictions are relaxed, and that overall conditions are such that we can welcome 100% of students to campus every day. This is our aim and we will be monitoring the situation and adjusting our program to this end.
After October Break, we hope to be able to offer some activities and athletics to students within their current cohorts. We will be providing more information next week.
Safety Measures
While we are so excited to have our students back on campus, we ask parents to please help us keep everyone safe and remember to maintain physical distance when waiting out front while dropping off and picking up students.
Additional Pfizer Vaccination for Adolescents Aged 12-18 Opportunity
In an effort to provide community members with as many vaccine opportunities as possible, please allow us to share a new one. Another private hospital provider (B-Care Hospital) has reached out to us for those who may still be interested in the Pfizer BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for students aged 12-18. If your student has not been scheduled for an appointment at this time and are interested, please sign up here before Monday October 4, 2021 08.00. For inquiries, please contact isbnurse@isb.ac.th.
