Plans to Safely Open the ISB Campus

Please find linked here our plans to safely reopen the ISB campus.

ES Hybrid Model Community Handbook

  • Hybrid Learning occurs when campus is able to be open with reduced numbers.  In September 2021, ISB was approved to be open at 50% capacity. In this case a hybrid model is put into place where students are engaged in both on campus and virtual learning.
  • Virtual School is the model for learning when all students are learning at home.
  • Virtual Learning occurs when campus is open and a few students are not able to come to campus (ie: in transit from another country, in quarantine).

Please find the link to the ES Community Hybrid Model Handbook via the ISB website: https://www.isb.ac.th/learning-isb/isb-virtual-school/

ES Black & Gold Student Cohorts

All ES students are assigned to an A (Black) or B (Gold) cohort. These cohorts come to campus every other day following an A/B rotation.  Homeroom teachers will share daily virtual schedules for students not coming to campus.

Tuesday, September 28 Asynchronous Day

Students will engage in fully asynchronous learning tasks aligned with the daily virtual school schedule on Tuesday, September 28th so that all ISB teachers and Instructional Assistants can be on campus to prepare for Wednesday’s reopening.  Watch for details from your child’s homeroom teacher.

No Virtual World Language Classes Sept 29-Oct 1

As we transition back to campus, World Language Teachers will be fully engaged teaching face-to-face classes with students on campus. Virtual World Language classes will not occur on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and will resume on Monday, October 4.

Weekly Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,
Perhaps this September 12th tweet by Hollywood screenwriter Joseph Birbiglia (pictured below) will resonate with you as we know you are getting a LOT of detailed information from ISB about the Reopening Plans!

It’s been an extraordinary amount of planning and preparation for all of us, and while we might be overwhelmed with the amount of information to process, it’s wonderful that parents, teachers, and administrators are working together to provide a safe return for our students.

Students are VERY eager to get back to school, and together we will make that happen safely.  Thank you for taking the time to read all of the detailed information in this week’s eNews…hopefully you can find the time to read and process everything AND keep your job!
