Time for a break
We hope that this long weekend (no school on Thursday & Friday) provided a much needed break for students from the screens. Hopefully students got some fresh air and some social opportunities in safe ways.
Teachers spent Thursday in rich professional development sessions focused on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice issues; collaboratively started plans for possible reopening; and engaged with top consultants to improve curriculum, pedagogy, and/or student support systems.
The long weekend is well-earned and much needed by everyone.
Monday and Tuesday to stay Day 5 & 6
As we prepare hopefully for reopening campus soon, we decided not to change the rotation of periods until we knew more about when that might happen. Next week, we will continue with Day 5 and Day 6 schedules for Monday and Tuesday, with the hope that we can provide more certainty about a change (or not) ahead of Wednesday.
- Monday, Sept 20th – Virtual School Day 5
- Tuesday, Sept 21st – Virtual School Day 6
- Wednesday, Sept 22nd – Virtual School Day to be determined and communicated
- Thursday, Sept 23rd – Virtual School Day to be determined and communicated
- Friday, Sept 24th – Virtual School Day to be determined and communicated
We appreciate students adaptability to these frequently changing circumstances.
Virtual Spirit Week is here
Even though we are in Virtual School, we are connecting students with a little fun and school spirit. The upcoming week is ISB Spirit Week, with themed dress days for students on each day. They can join their Zoom classes, in theme, and join in the school spirit!
Reminders will be sent out in the Good Morning Middle School news emails that go out the night before school days.
