Finished

Justin Alexander

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to all of our high school students who finished the school year today by attending our final assembly. We were able to recognise and thank our departing students and teachers in the assembly and wish them all the best in the next chapter of their lives. We shared some stories, music and a little skit from the HS Admin team about the trials and tribulations of a zoom classroom was a nice way to finish the year.

We wish all of our ISB families a safe and relaxing summer. For those travelling, safe travels and for everyone in our community stay safe and stay well.

Well done!

Have a wonderful and safe summer everyone!!

Graduated Seniors:

Final transcripts have been sent for all seniors who indicated where it should go in their Cialfo. Most were sent electronically, but for those we could not send through cyberspace, we sent by old fashioned post. Those schools that are waiting for IB results, that will happen in the first week of July. If you need your IB number or login information, please reach out to Khun Mook or Ms. McMillan as they are the keepers of all things IB!

Seniors should be regularly checking their University’s website for Covid-19 updates (about what the start of school will look like, are vaccines required to enroll, F-1 student visa info, registering for classes, etc.)  Seniors should also be checking with the Embassy of the country they will enter for university about Student Visas.

Summer Programs:
If you are wondering what to do during the summer, check out our summer program opportunities list on the College Counseling Google site: Summer Programs

College Virtual Visits:
There are no more ISB college virtual visits, but that doesn’t mean you can’t virtually visit a college or university! Please go directly to the website of the university you are interested in learning more about and see what they have to offer. Remember, you are shopping for colleges, so take the time to check them out, see what they are about and if they are the right fit. Don’t be afraid to ask them questions to make sure they are good enough for you!

We’re proud of our students, teachers, and administrators as we have all made it through an extremely challenging year.  Everyone is a bit exhausted and very tired of meeting over the internet rather than face-to-face.  We are all very hopeful that Thailand in general and the ISB community in particular will be able to interact, learn, and play together next school year.  We wish you all a safe and healthy break over the next two months, one in which you are able to get out safely and to enjoy your time outside the confines of a computer screen.  Do something nice for yourself in the coming break that you have been meaning to do, but haven’t had the time.

If you need help with anything over the break, the High School Counselors will be checking their emails regularly (but not daily) so you can contact them.  In case of emergency, call the high school office and they will get hold of the counselor you need.  (Please give the counselors the break they need by realizing that requesting a schedule change is not an emergency!)  All the best this break and we really are excited and looking forward to seeing everyone in August!
