As parents will have seen, we are sending emails home when students are marked absent in classes during Virtual School. We do this as early in the period as possible, so that if it’s a case of a student being in the wrong place, slept in accidentally, or lost track of time, the email informs parents who can check on their child.
The email copies the teacher who can adjust the attendance if the student ends up arriving after attendance was submitted. Typically the teacher adjusts attendance after they are done with instruction.
Of course, sometime students are absent for visa runs, doctor visits, or they are sick. While it’s always helpful for the student to let the teacher know about an upcoming absence, we ask that parents inform the office by emailing msoffice@isb.ac.th . When we know about absences in advance, we can avoid sending the email and other redundant communication back and forth. Parents, please let the office know when your child is going to be absent from class.
Thank you for your support on this, so that we can minimize the number of emails we have to send back and forth.
