Applications and recommendations
At ISB, we always do our best to support students with applications to other programs, ranging from schools after ISB to summer school or online programs. There are times when these applications require recommendations or significant paperwork from ISB teachers, counselors, or administrators.
In order for us to do our best work to support your child’s application, we require 3-4 weeks for this process. These often come in for many students at once and involve the same teachers, so we want to be sure to allow time for drafting, making sure they are comprehensive, and that they are written well to support the student.
If you are considering these programs for your children, please get the information to your child’s counselor as quickly as possible – they will coordinate which teachers need to complete work, what’s required, and communicate with families. Please don’t send requests directly to the teacher, as that can be overwhelming (imagine 20 recommendation requests all coming in at the same time) and make it harder to provide the best possible recommendation.
With summer programs coming soon, please do this as soon as possible if it applies to you and your chlid.
Withdrawing from ISB?
We know that this time of year means that some students are leaving ISB for new adventures and schools. In order to best support this transition, it is essential for us to know this as soon as possible.
Families who are leaving ISB at the end of the school year need to inform the school using the forms located in the ISB Parent Portal. This helps us prepare school records for your child and with planning for next year and ensure they are ready in time for the end of the year.
If your MS child(ren) is/are withdrawing from ISB, please email Khun Namwan in the MS Counseling Office at sariyam@isb.ac.th as soon as possible.
If you are leaving Bangkok early
Parents who plan to leave BKK or Thailand prior to June 11th are asked to contact Mr. Dennis Harter, MS Principal, to share details.
Please note that if/when virtual school ends and classes resume on campus, ongoing learning for students who don’t return to campus will continue in the form of asynchronous learning tasks and assignments. Teachers will post work assignments on PowerSchool Learning.
