MS Student-Led Conferences a chance for reflection and growth

These past two days we have been excited to host Student-Led Conferences. Thank you to all parents who joined their child at the conference. We are so proud of the work our middle school students did in preparation for and during these last two days. Even as our first time through this process, our middle school students have done a terrific job in articulating their learning celebrations and challenges.

I appreciate the many parents who have stopped by and/or shared their thoughts in the hallways about how it went. That feedback along with the survey feedback that you provided has been encouraging and helpful as we continue to make this process better in the future.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the work of the teachers and counselors who guided students through this reflective process and helped them prepare. Becoming passionate, reflective learners is an important goal of our ISB Mission for students and the deliberate instruction and work towards this was instrumental in the progress that we made.

Our intent with the Student-Led Conferences was to provide a learning and growth opportunity for students. The students did such a great job with it and we thank everyone involved. These past two days have been a wonderful example of a strong school-home partnership for student learning.
