Dear ISB Community,
We have now received official permission to reopen campus as of Monday 1st February, 2021. We are very excited to be welcoming students back to school and look forward to seeing happy faces on campus again. In preparation, it is very important that parents complete the self declaration in the Powerschool ParentPortal by 12:00pm on Thursday 28th January (video tutorial here).
The ISB Leadership Team and the Crisis Management Team have been preparing for the safe reopening of campus and these plans can be accessed here. Please take the time to read them so that you are familiar with the reopening plans.
Please also note the following important information:
- During the initial resopening phase, only staff, students and those with an approved appointment may enter the ISB campus.
- We will revert to the previous drop off and pick up arrangements in front of school that we used in August (please see reopening plans here).
- After school hours: Only students enrolled in scheduled activities are allowed to be on campus, but they will have to leave as soon as their activities have ended.
- All those entering the ISB campus must complete the self declaration in the Powerschool ParentPortal by 12:00pm on Thursday 28th January (video tutorial here). Parents will complete this declaration on behalf of their children. The self declaration confirms that:
- No member of my household has tested positive for Covid-19 or has had close contact with anyone diagnosed with Covid-19 in a 21 day period.
- No member of my household has a fever or other symptoms, and all members of the family will stay at home until the individual is symptom free and cleared by a doctor. Medical certificates must be provided to the ISB Health Center on the day of re-entry onto campus.
- No member of my household has travelled to Chonburi, Chanthaburi, Rayong, Samut Sakhon and Trat provinces in the past 14 days.
- I understand it is my responsibility to inform the school should any member of my household visit a high risk area.
- The school may periodically email the ISB community with updated information of high risk locations.
- Anyone who has not completed the self declaration form will not be able to enter the ISB campus.
- All ISB ES, MS and HS Season Two Athletics and Activities that were taking place before the winter break will restart on Monday the 1st of February and be extended. This is inclusive of ISB Varsity, Junior Varsity, U15, U13 and U11 and IASAS CC programs. Coaches will reach out with further details.
- The start of all programs offered through Panther Activities (pay-to-play) linked HERE will be postponed until the week of February 8th. Look for more details specific to each program from directors, coaches and coordinators.
- Field trips are postponed until further notice (with the exception of our own EWC campus). The MS will be in touch with rescheduled EWC dates for students.
- During the initial phase of reopening campus, we encourage all of our ISB community to avoid crowded areas and limit unnecessary travel.
- All students will receive safety briefings on the first day back to school.
If your child is not returning to school on 1st February (ie. for self quarantine reasons), please contact the divisional principals (email addresses below) as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact any of us listed below.

Andy
