MS Olympics on Thursday

This coming week, on Thursday, the ISB Middle School PE department is proud to put on our MS Olympics, this year hosted by India. The MS Olympics are a fun day of events combining track and field events with team games and activities that are themed to our host country’s culture.
Students enjoy the full-on day and it’s a great way to close out the semester.
Parent Access
This year with COVID-19 restrictions, we have had to make some adjustments to our set up. We are happy that we can still run the events, however there are some important changes that we will have to make to ensure we can run the event.
Unfortunately, parents may NOT attend the Opening Ceremonies in the Rajendra Hall at the start of the day. In order for us to fit the entire MS student population in there with physical distancing, we cannot invite the parents inside. Only parents directly involved in running the Opening Ceremony will be able to attend this part.
Parents MAY attend the torch lighting ceremony immediately following the Opening. Parents can sit in the track and field bleachers for this as students will be on the field. Parents should arrive at 8:20 AM to see the torch lighting (it will start soon after that). You may inform the guards that you are here for the Olympics in order to gain access in the morning.
For the events themselves, we invite parents to watch the outdoor events from the bleachers if you want, but we cannot allow parents to come into the indoor facilities due to spacing and total number concerns. Again, the track and field bleachers are a good spot to watch those events.
Here is a schedule of events for Thursday, December 17th:
