Air Quality Communication 2020

Dear ISB Community,

We are entering that time of year when we see the pollution levels in Bangkok rising and we wanted to make you aware of the policies, mitigation measures, and initiatives in place at ISB that help to keep our community safe and healthy.

Over the past years, we have invested in the top of the range monitoring equipment, positive pressure air filtration units, and dehumidification systems. These systems keep the levels of PM2.5 in each classroom exceptionally low  Ongoing monitoring ensures that all of these systems are functioning effectively.

We are currently reviewing our monitoring platform due to advancements in technology and equipment available in Thailand.

Our Air Quality Guidelines are clear and updated annually.

You can find a list of Air Pollution FAQs on our website for additional information.

With all these measures in place, we are able to ensure reduced exposure for our learners by maintaining low levels of pollutants in learning spaces, as well as reduced time outside when the air pollution is at an increased level.

We will continue to update you as we navigate the pollution situation during these winter months.
