Dear ISB Community,
We are pleased to report that with each passing day more of our absent students and families are returning to school. We still have around 150 students learning remotely, but most will have arrived by the end of September. All but six of our new faculty are with us on campus, with the remainder poised to join us soon. We look forward to the day when all of our ISB family are here!
Please find a few updates and reminders below.
Parent Access to Campus
ISB parents may now come on campus during school days after 1:30pm each day. If possible, however, please continue to meet your child/children in the designated alphabetical areas in front of school for pick ups. This will help us maintain physical distancing measures and prevent congestion in any particular area.
On weekends and after school, parents may accompany their children to school sponsored activities on campus.
Please note that we require everyone on campus to wear a mask at all times and in all areas – including the fields. Masks may be removed when participating in physical exercise. Please find our detailed mask guidelines here. We also ask that everyone washes their hands frequently and maintains physical distance.
It is also very important that parents have collected up-to-date ID Badges for access.
First Friday with Andy – 4th September at 8:00am
The first “First Friday with Andy” for this school year will take place on Friday 4th September at 8:00am in the Orange Room (near the admissions office).
“First Friday with Andy” is an open forum for parents to meet informally with the Head of School and address any topics of interest or concern. Please email Khun Pyee at nitcharp@isb.ac.th if you would like to attend – then show the confirmation email from Khun Pyee to the guard at the front of school.
Student Daily Record of Locations Outside of School
The Ministry of Education is requiring all schools to ensure that students maintain a daily record of their whereabouts outside of school hours in order to facilitate any needed contact tracing should a case of COVID be reported (confirmed) in our community. Students will need to record where they went and the date. Each division will provide further details tomorrow about how this will be achieved. Confidentiality will be a priority. We appreciate any support at home that parents can provide to ensure students are maintaining this record.
Import Message for Absent Students and Families – those that have not started school on campus yet
It is very important that the parents of any student who has not started school on campus yet completes the self disclosure forms for all family members before coming on campus. If a family has been in quarantine, completion certificates issued by the ASQ must be uploaded before coming to campus. Campus entry can only be granted if these disclosure forms have been completed and the appropriate quarantine completion certificates have been uploaded for each member of the family. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon.
If we can help with anything please let us know.
Kind regards,
Andy
