Dear ISB Community,
We are about to finish our second week of school and we cannot be happier to have our students back on campus. Our 3 year olds also joined us this week so we now have all grade levels with us.
Thank you again for all of your support with our new procedures. Student arrivals and dismissals are working well and our campus access has never been more secure.
Please find a few updates and reminders below.
IB Results Update
We are very pleased to report that following some grading adjustments from the IB, the pass rate for ISB students that took the IB Diploma in 2020 has changed from 98% to 100% (the world average is around 80%).
The average diploma score is a very strong 36.5 points, while the subject average is 5.6 points (1-7 scale). 25% of the ISB cohort scored above 40 points (45 points is the maximum attainable) and five students scored 44 points. Huge congratulations to our IB students in the Class of 2020 for achieving so much in such a challenging year.
Parent Access to Campus
ISB parents will be able to come on campus during school days after 1:30pm each day, beginning Monday, 24th August.
If possible, however, please continue to meet your child/children in the designated alphabetical areas in front of school for pick ups. Further pick up information for our younger learners will come from the Elementary School office shortly.
We are working towards all day parent access as normal and we will communicate again when this is possible.
Please note that we require everyone on campus to wear a mask, wash hands frequently, and maintain physical distance.
Please also ensure you have collected your up-to-date ID Badge for access.
Student Daily Record of Locations Outside of School
The Ministry of Education is requiring all schools to ensure that students maintain a daily record of their whereabouts outside of school hours in order to facilitate any needed contact tracing should a case of COVID be reported (confirmed) in our community. Students will need to record where they went and the date. We will provide further details next week about how this will be achieved in each division. Confidentiality will be a priority.
Import Message for Absent Students and Families – those that have not started school on campus yet
It is very important that the parents of any student who has not started school on campus yet completes the self disclosure forms for all family members before coming on campus. If a family has been in quarantine, completion certificates issued by the ASQ must be uploaded before coming to campus. Campus entry can only be granted if these disclosure forms have been completed and the appropriate quarantine completion certificates have been uploaded for each member of the family.
If we can help with anything please let us know.
Kind regards,
Andy
